- BEST FOR SOUND ABSORPTION AND DIFFUSION: SoundBlanket MLV is the original, most specified noise barrier membrane system available globally. It is produced with an engineered mixture of 5 types of rubbers and resins.
- SOUND ISOLATION: It is the most sound blocking or isolating product in the market. For optimum results, this sound-blocking membrane should be installed between two layers.
- SOUND TRANSMISSION CLASS AND DENSITY: The STC of this product is up to 28 with a density of 2100kg/m3, better than any wool sound isolators. It is 3mm in thickness, making it the slimmest noise barrier.

First off, I was impressed by the quality of the material. The 3mm thickness provides substantial soundproofing without being overly bulky, and the 8x4 size was perfect for covering the area I needed to soundproof. Installation was a breeze thanks to the flexibility of the material, allowing me to cut it to size and hang it easily.
But most importantly, the noise reduction capabilities are phenomenal. Living in a busy neighborhood, I used to struggle with traffic noise and loud neighbors disrupting my work concentration. However, since installing the SoundBlanket, I've noticed a significant decrease in outside noise infiltration. It effectively blocks out unwanted sounds, creating a much quieter and more conducive environment for productivity.
Furthermore, I appreciate the STC 28 rating, which gives me confidence that this product delivers on its promise of soundproofing effectiveness. It's evident that MMT Acoustix has put considerable effort into designing a solution that truly works
The thickness of the mlv has become thinner than my last purchase!
