BassBloc® is a polyurethane-based sound absorber that isolates low frequency sound transmission from walls, ceilings, and floors. Manufactured in high density to control impact-based sounds, amplified noise, and unwanted sound waves across different frequencies.

BassBloc® is composed of super high density closed and open cell polyurethane foam compressed and bonded with resin binder — making it the only material that simultaneously traps and absorbs sound during its conversion from kinetic to heat energy. This open + closed cell combination makes BassBloc® absorb bass frequencies up to 10× more effectively than mineral wool.

BassBloc® is a polyurethane bass absorber made from a combination of open and closed cell acoustic foam compressed under high density and bonded with resin binder. Unlike standard acoustic foam which absorbs only mid-to-high frequencies, BassBloc® absorbs bass and low frequency sounds up to 10× more effectively. The open cell component traps sound while the closed cell component reflects it back into the material — converting it to heat energy. This makes BassBloc® the only material that simultaneously traps and absorbs sound, particularly bass frequencies below 250Hz that standard foam panels cannot control.
What thickness of BassBloc® should I use for walls in Germany?+
Thickness selection depends on your target STC. For 30 dB (basic soundproofing, e.g. home offices): 50–75mm BassBloc® with plywood. For 50 dB (recording studios, home theatres, hotels): 75mm BassBloc® combined with 5mm SoundBlanket® MLV behind a brick wall.
