Every Child Deserves
To Hear Every Word
Students in untreated classrooms miss 25 to 30 percent of what their teacher says. Acoustic treatment engineered to meet ANSI S12.60 standards for schools, classrooms, auditoriums and libraries.
How It Works
3-Layer Soundproofing System
Engineered by MMT for classroom-to-classroom sound isolation.
Layer 01
SoundBlanket
MLV
MLV
Mass Loaded Vinyl barrier. Dense membrane that blocks airborne noise at the wall level. The primary noise-stopper.
2.5mmSounds up to 90dB
4mmSounds up to 120dB
Layer 02
BassBloc
Absorber
Absorber
High-density acoustic absorber. Kills low-frequency bass vibrations that MLV alone cannot block. Sits inside the wall.

Before & After Classroom Treatment
A treated classroom brings reverberation inside the ANSI S12.60 limit, so every student hears every word and teachers stop straining their voice.
| What Changes | Before Treatment | After Treatment |
|---|---|---|
| Reverberation (RT60) | 0.9 to 1.4 seconds. Syllables overlap and blur. | Under 0.6 seconds. Meets ANSI S12.60. |
| Speech intelligibility | Students miss 25 to 30 percent of what is said. | Clear at every seat. Front row to back row. |
| Background noise | 50 to 60 dBA during instruction. | Closer to 35 dBA. The ANSI target level. |
| Teacher voice | Raised all day. Strain, fatigue, sick days. | Normal speaking level. No shouting to be heard. |
| Classroom-to-classroom | Neighbouring lessons audible through the wall. | Isolated. MLV and BassBloc stop transfer. |
| Students most affected | Hearing needs and second-language learners fall behind. | Equal access. Every child hears the lesson. |

Real Schools. Real Results.
We treated lecture halls and seminar rooms across two blocks. Ceiling Baffles plus Fabric Panels on rear walls. Our consultant measured RT60 at 0.54s, well inside the ANSI target. Faculty stopped needing microphones in the smaller halls.
Amity University, Noida
★★★★★
Full ASTM and EN ISO documentation was required for our accreditation review. MMT supplied everything upfront. Speech clarity across our primary classrooms improved immediately after install.
American School, Muscat
★★★★★
The PET panels are genuinely child-safe with no fibres and wipe clean easily. Rear-wall and ceiling treatment across our classrooms brought the echo right down. Students at the back can follow lessons properly now.
HAII Institute, Patna
★★★★★
Acoustic Paintings and Felt Bulletin Boards across the primary wing. They work acoustically and double as display space for student work. Parents comment on them at every open day.
Bloom School, Hyderabad
★★★★★
MLV and BassBloc on the wall between our music room and a regular classroom stopped the bleed completely. Both lessons now run at the same time without either disrupting the other.
DPS Nerul, Mumbai
★★★★★
Acoustic Slats on the rear walls and Carpet Tiles throughout. Chair scrape dropped dramatically and being able to replace a single tile instead of a whole floor helps our maintenance budget.
Sri Ram School, Gurgaon
★★★★★
Specified for our new campus block. Delivered in 9 days with the fire certification our building authority required. Auditorium speech clarity is exactly what we needed.
DPS, Dubai

Teachers were losing their voices by mid-week. After treating 14 classrooms with ceiling and rear-wall absorption, that stopped. Staff sick days connected to voice strain dropped noticeably.

Classroom Acoustics — Frequently Asked Questions
ANSI/ASA S12.60 is the reference standard. It requires background noise below 35 dBA and reverberation time (RT60) under 0.6 seconds for rooms up to 10,000 cubic feet, or 0.7 seconds for rooms between 10,000 and 20,000 cubic feet. Most untreated classrooms fail both.
Research shows students in poorly treated classrooms are unable to understand 25 to 30 percent of what is said. Occupied classrooms routinely exceed 50 dBA background noise against a 35 dBA standard. The students worst affected are those with hearing difficulties, auditory processing needs, or who are learning in a second language.
Start with the rear wall opposite the teacher, which is the main source of echo reaching students at the back. Then treat the rear portion of the ceiling. Side walls come next. Carpet handles floor noise. Treating roughly 20 to 30 percent of surface area typically brings RT60 into the ANSI range.
Yes. Echsorbix PET panels are made from recycled polyester with no loose fibres, no formaldehyde and no dust. They wipe clean. Fabric Acoustic Panels use mineral wool sealed inside a fabric wrap and are Class A fire rated to ASTM E-84, which is normally required for school building approval.
Acoustic panels absorb echo inside a room but do not block transmission. For room-to-room isolation use SoundBlanket MLV 2.5mm on the shared wall, then BassBloc 20mm, then a finish panel. Add a bottom door seal and EPDM perimeter tape, since the door gap is usually the largest leak.
