The Process

Three stages, no exceptions

Each stage clears before the next begins.

01

Before production

Density, purity, weight and dimension checked on arrival. Problems caught while they are cheap to fix.

Raw material verification
02

During production

Dimensions, density and finish checked at set intervals. Custom work verified against the order.

In process monitoring
03

Before dispatch

Visual, dimensional and documentation check. Only cleared product ships.

What Gets Tested

The measurements that matter

Absorption and transmission are separate measurements with separate scales.

NRC

Noise Reduction Coefficient

ASTM C-423 or EN ISO 354. Foam, felt, slats, wood wool, curtains.

STC

Sound Transmission Class

SoundBlanket MLV at 2.5mm, 3mm, 4mm and 5mm. A report per thickness.

Fire

Fire performance

PET felt, foam, slats and MLV. Surface burning to ASTM E84.

Density

Density and hardness

Foam density and indentation load deflection, batch to batch.

Dim

Dimensional tolerance

Panels, rolls and custom cuts. Tolerance stated on each data sheet.

CNC

Profile accuracy

CNC profiles verified against the cutting programme.

We publish what has been measured. Where a product has test data, the report is downloadable. Where testing is pending, we tell you directly.

Where We Test

In house checks, outside verification

Batch checks in house. Published performance measured independently.

In house

MMT Acoustix production QC

Density, dimensional and visual checks between batches.

Third party, India

ARAI, Pune

Absorption on PET felt, slats and MLV. Published in full.

Third party, international

SGS

Fire and surface burning, including ASTM E84. Recognised outside India.

Project specific

Additional accredited laboratories

A tender calls for a specific lab or test, we arrange it.

A material rating describes the material. Your wall is an assembly.

Published figures compare materials. Predicting what you hear between two rooms happens at specification. Send us the construction and we will work it through.
