MMTPL was one of the few Indian acoustic manufacturers to build an in-house research and testing laboratory before launching consumer products. The decision was deliberate — we believed then, as we do now, that credibility is earned in a lab, not claimed in a catalogue.
Every product formulation is tested before it goes into production. Every production batch is checked during manufacture. And every finished product is inspected before it leaves the facility. This is not a quality department — it is a quality culture, embedded at every stage of what we do.

Every product manufactured at our Palwal facility — and every product manufactured through our contract network — passes through three mandatory quality audit stages.
Pre-Production Audit
Before any production run commences, raw materials are verified against specification. Incoming material batches — foam chemicals, PET fibre, polymer compounds, timber, fabric — are checked for conformity to density, purity, weight, and dimensional tolerances. Non-conforming materials are rejected at this stage.
Raw Material VerificationIn-Process Quality Checks
During production, quality checks are carried out at defined intervals — verifying that dimensional tolerances, density profiles, surface finish, and process parameters remain within specification. For custom and made-to-order products, specification verification is carried out against the customer's confirmed order before the production run continues.
Production MonitoringPre-Despatch Inspection
Finished products are inspected before packaging and dispatch. Visual inspection, dimensional checks, and batch documentation are completed. For products with acoustic performance specifications (NRC, STC, fire rating), conformity to the published test data is confirmed. Products failing inspection are set aside and do not ship.

Our products are tested against internationally recognised acoustic and material standards. Test reports are available on request for any product in our range.
Noise Reduction Coefficient
Measures sound absorption across frequency bands. All acoustic foam and felt panels carry independently verified NRC ratings. Tested to ASTM C423 standard.
Sound Transmission Class
Measures how much sound a barrier blocks. Applied to SoundBlanket® MLV membranes. Tested to ASTM E90 / E413 standards.
Fire Retardancy
Acoustic foam and felt panels are tested for fire rating — ensuring products meet safety requirements for commercial, institutional, and residential installations.
Density & ILD (Foam Hardness)
Open-cell polyurethane foams are tested for density (kg/m³) and Indentation Load Deflection to verify acoustic absorption performance and structural consistency batch-to-batch.
Dimensional Tolerances
All products are checked against dimensional specifications — panels, rolls, and custom-cut products are verified to ±1–3mm tolerances depending on product category.
CNC Profile Accuracy
Foam profiles, wooden slats, and acoustic diffuser panels machined on our CNC routers are dimensionally verified against the cutting programme before batch release.

We test at two levels — our own in-house research laboratory for development and routine batch verification, and accredited third-party laboratories for independent certification and customer-facing performance data.
Third-party testing is carried out at the request of neither the customer nor the market — it is our standard practice. We believe product claims should be backed by independent data, not manufacturer assertions.
