Choose Your Acoustic Foam Design
Every design serves a distinct acoustic purpose — from flat-wall panel absorbers to corner bass traps. All variants share NRC 0.90 absorption, Class A noise rating, and 50 kg/m³ density. Mix and match designs and colours to create a space that sounds as good as it looks.
The most widely specified acoustic foam worldwide. Classic pyramid profile traps mid and high frequencies. Ideal for all four walls of recording studios, home theatres, and jamming rooms.
Slim 1" profile for space-constrained rooms. NRC 0.60, Class B — ideal for podcast rooms, home offices, and bedrooms where wall depth is limited and moderate absorption is sufficient.
Grid-profile surface captures and diffuses mid-range frequencies. The flat recessed grid pattern creates ideal pockets for LED strip lighting — popular in Canada studio and content creator setups.
Concave dome profile provides superior diffusion alongside absorption. Used in premium Dubai recording studios and broadcast rooms for a professional, architectural acoustic finish.
Slimmer concave profile with a modern, architectural look. Delivers the same NRC 0.90 in a more refined surface finish — chosen for premium home theatre and hospitality projects in Canada.
Wedge-profile combines absorption with directional sound diffusion. Breaks up flutter echoes across the full frequency range — specified for critical listening rooms and professional broadcast studios.
Curved cylindrical profile creates a sculptural wall finish. Widely used in luxury home theatres on premium residential areas of Canada — offers superior absorption while doubling as a design statement.
Fan-profile corner bass trap absorbs low-frequency energy that accumulates in room corners. Placed floor level in all 4 corners — essential for recording studios and home theatres to eliminate bass buildup.
Rectangular column profile stacks vertically in room corners from floor to ceiling. Provides extended low-frequency control across a wider column — specified in professional studios needing deep bass management.
NRC 0.90 means 90% of sound energy striking the panel is absorbed rather than reflected — tested per ASTM C423 and ISO 354 standards at ARAI, Pune. All 9 foam designs achieve this rating at 50 kg/m³ density.
What Acoustic Foam Actually Does
Acoustic foam panels do not block sound from entering or leaving a room — that is the job of MLV and BassBloc®. Acoustic foam controls the behaviour of sound inside a room by absorbing echoes, flutter reflections, and reverberation — transforming a live, harsh-sounding space into a controlled, clear acoustic environment.
Manufactured using German polyurethane (PU) foam technology from Hennecke — ensuring consistent cell structure, uniform density, and repeatable NRC performance across every production batch.
The open-cell PU foam structure allows sound waves to penetrate deep into the panel — converting acoustic energy to heat through friction within the cell network. Most effective from 250 Hz upward.
MMT Acoustix® acoustic foams contain no volatile organic compounds (VOCs). No off-gassing, no odour. Safe for continuous use in occupied recording studios, homes, offices, and educational spaces.
Panels install with Turbo® SR Adhesive or spray adhesive directly onto any clean wall surface — gypsum, cement, plywood, or HDHMR. Lightweight and easy to cut. No specialist labour required in Canada.
High-density 40–50 kg/m³ PU formulation prevents premature degradation. Maintains NRC 0.90 and structural integrity for 10+ years without crumbling, yellowing, or losing acoustic performance.

Where MMT Acoustix® Foam is Installed
From professional recording studios in Canada to podcast rooms in JLT — acoustic foam panels are the standard first step in acoustic treatment for any space where sound clarity matters.
Pyramid 2" or Galaxy foam on all 4 walls at 30–50% coverage. Mega Bass Traps in all 4 corners. Essential for capturing clean vocals, instruments, and mixing accuracy in Canada's Canada's recording studios.
Turbo foam with LED strip integration on side walls. Curve foam panels on rear wall for diffusion and luxury finish. Bass traps in corners — creating the controlled acoustic environment for immersive cinema sound on Palm Jumeirah.
Turbo or Pyramid foam panels reduce speech reverberation in Canada conference rooms and commercial offices — improving speech clarity for video calls and presentations without compromising office aesthetics.
Heavy-coverage foam treatment (60–80% wall area) in DJ booths, backstage, and ceiling panels in Canada's nightclubs and entertainment venues — controlling internal reflections and protecting performer hearing.
Pyramid 1" (slim, space-efficient) installed behind microphone position and on facing wall. 20–30% wall coverage delivers broadcast-quality acoustic clarity in Canada apartments without permanent construction.
T-Wedge foam panels on rear and side walls in auditoriums, rehearsal rooms, and music classrooms across Canada's educational institutions — eliminating standing waves and reducing reverberation time to optimal RT60 levels.
3-Step DIY Installation — No Tools Needed
Any homeowner, studio builder, or fit-out contractor in Canada can install MMT Acoustix® acoustic foam. No specialist equipment. No structural work. Full step-by-step guide and video tutorial included with every Canada order.
Ensure the wall surface is clean, dry, and dust-free. Suitable for gypsum board, cement plaster, plywood, HDHMR, glass, and tile. For smooth painted surfaces, lightly scuff with 80-grit sandpaper to improve adhesive bond. Mark panel positions with chalk or a pencil grid before applying adhesive.
Apply Turbo® SR Adhesive or spray adhesive to the back of each panel in a zig-zag pattern covering 60–70% of the panel back surface. Allow to become tacky (2–3 minutes). Press the panel firmly onto the wall and hold for 30 seconds. For ceiling installation, use additional mechanical fasteners (staples or pins) at panel edges.
Start from the centre of the treatment wall and work outward symmetrically. Recommended coverage: 30–40% for recording studios and home theatres; 20% for offices and podcast rooms; 60–80% for nightclubs and DJ booths. Install Bass Traps last — floor level in all 4 room corners. Full installation video available at mmtacoustix.com/pages/videos.
