About the Product
About the Product
Acoustic velvet fabric laminated to a foam backing. That lamination is the whole point. Ordinary upholstery velvet covers a surface, this one lets sound pass into the absorber behind it instead of reflecting off the face.
It is the same fabric we use on our own fabric wrapped acoustic panels, sold by the roll so you can build your own. Use it to wrap panels and bass traps, upholster a wall or screen, or reskin existing panels that have faded.
Supplied on 10 metre rolls at 54 inch width, in eight shades. Cuts and staples like any upholstery fabric.
Size & Dimensions
Size & Dimensions
10 metre roll at 54 inch width, 300 GSM, with foam lamination on the reverse.
One roll covers roughly 13.7 square metres, or about 147 sq ft, before wastage. For a 4x2 ft panel allow an extra 3 inches on every side for wrapping and stapling. Size tolerance plus or minus 5%.
Installation Method
Installation Method
Lay the fabric face down, place the panel on top with the absorber side down, and pull the fabric over the frame.
Staple the two long sides first, working from the centre outwards, then the short sides. Fold the corners like wrapping a parcel rather than cutting them, so no raw edge shows. Keep the tension even, as velvet shows pull marks if one side is tighter than the other.
For walls, staple or use spray adhesive onto battens. Always run the pile in the same direction across adjoining panels or the colour will read differently under light.
Care Instructions
Care Instructions
Vacuum on a low setting using a soft brush head. Brush the pile in one direction to keep the finish even.
Blot spills immediately with a dry cloth. Do not rub, which flattens the pile permanently. Do not machine wash, bleach or steam clean, as heat separates the foam lamination from the fabric.Vacuum on a low setting using a soft brush head. Brush the pile in one direction to keep the finish even.

Warranty and Certification
Warranty and Certification
One year warranty against manufacturing defects in the fabric and lamination.
Sold as a raw material for panel fabrication and upholstery. Acoustic performance depends on the absorber behind it, so no independent NRC rating is claimed for the fabric alone.
