About the Product
About the Product
The EPDM Door and Window Perimeter Seal closes the gap between a door or window and its frame. High density EPDM rubber compresses as the door shuts, forming a continuous barrier against noise, dust, smoke, insects and draughts.
EPDM holds up to heat, cold and UV far better than foam strips, so it stays flexible rather than crumbling after a season. It comes with a strong self adhesive tape already applied, cuts to size with ordinary scissors and sticks reliably to metal, wood and glass frames.
Pair it with a door bottom seal. The frame gap and the floor gap are two separate leaks, and sealing one without the other leaves most of the noise path open.

Care Instructions

Wipe with a damp cloth. EPDM handles heat, cold and UV well, so no treatment is needed.

Three month warranty against manufacturing defects.
EPDM is the same rubber used in automotive and roofing seals. It resists heat, cold and UV, so it stays flexible rather than perishing after a season.

Faris Nadwi I fitted this on my balcony window; made the door close with a more complete seal, although I had to redo one corner to avoid stretching the strip, so I would measure more carefully next time. Packaging was neat and it arrived without damage.
L
Luis Dela Cruz I bought this brown EPDM perimeter seal for my shop door after noticing that a surprising amount of air, dust and sound was getting through the gap rather than through the solid part of the door. Before ordering I checked the dimensions and read the installation information because I did not want to treat a simple seal as if it were a complete soundproofing system. The product arrived properly packed and the material itself felt consistent when I opened it. In my case, I measured the gap before fitting so the rubber compressed without making the door too tight. After fitting it, reduced small air gaps that were leaking sound. I also noticed that it the brown colour blended nicely with my wooden frame, which made the room feel better sealed in normal day-to-day use. The biggest lesson for me was that positioning matters: if a bottom or perimeter seal is compressed too much, the door can become harder to move, while too little contact simply leaves another air path. I did run into one small point where I had to redo one corner to avoid stretching the strip. It was manageable, but it is worth checking the floor, paint or frame condition before sticking or fixing anything permanently. The EPDM feels denser and more durable than basic foam weather strip. That distinction is important because the seal can improve one weak path, but the overall acoustic result still depends on the door leaf, frame, latch side, top edge and any remaining gaps. I also appreciated that the MMT Acoustix website explains the product as a practical sealing component rather than promising a miracle. When I had a fitting question, the support guidance was straightforward and focused on getting the contact pressure right. For the price, I think the value comes from using the correct type of seal for the correct surface. There are cheaper weather strips available, but I preferred a product where the application and acoustic purpose were explained clearly. Overall I am happy with the purchase because it solved the specific gap I was trying to address without turning the installation into a large project. If I were installing it again, I would first clean the surface, measure the gap at several points, dry-fit the position and only then make the final attachment. That extra five minutes would make the finish neater and reduce the chance of having to reposition the seal later.

Why This Door Seal Works
Built with durable metal and flexible rubber to improve sealing performance across residential and
commercial applications.
Noise Reduction
This door bottom seal is designed to significantly reduce sound leakage through the gap beneath doors. It helps control airborne noise transfer between rooms in residential and commercial spaces. While it improves acoustic isolation, it works best when combined with full perimeter sealing.
Air Blocking
The rubber insulation layer effectively blocks air drafts passing under the door. This improves indoor comfort by reducing unwanted airflow between conditioned and non-conditioned areas. It also helps maintain consistent temperature within enclosed spaces.
Dust Protection
The bottom seal acts as a barrier against dust, debris, and insects entering through the door gap. This is especially useful in urban environments and industrial settings. It enhances hygiene without affecting door movement.
Durable Construction
Built with a carbon metal body and integrated rubber insert, the seal offers structural strength and long-term durability. The metal casing prevents warping, while the rubber maintains consistent compression. Designed for regular operational use without quick wear.
Easy Installation
The product is designed for straightforward surface mounting at the bottom of the door. Standard tools are sufficient for installation. Proper alignment is essential to ensure effective sealing and long-term performance.
Smooth Operation
The seal is engineered to maintain proper contact with the floor without causing excessive friction. When correctly installed, the door opens and closes smoothly. It is important to ensure correct floor clearance for optimal performance.
Gap Coverage
This seal is suitable for standard door bottom gaps typically found in residential and office doors. It effectively closes visible clearance beneath the door leaf. For larger gaps, additional sealing solutions may be required.
Energy Efficiency
By limiting air leakage, the seal contributes to improved energy efficiency in air-conditioned or heated rooms. Reduced airflow means lower HVAC load over time. While not a primary insulation system, it supports overall climate control.
Application Versatility
Suitable for homes, offices, studios, meeting rooms, and commercial interiors where sound and air control are required. It works well for internal doors and certain main doors. Not recommended for uneven flooring unless properly adjusted.
